Accordian Card

So this week I had a go at making an accordian card. I really enjoyed making it, so I made 2 more!!! The actual card shape is quite easy to make - it's really the decorating that takes the time and makes the card!

This one (above) was made using the gorgeous First Edition Wild at Heart paper alongside First Edition Foliage dies, Belle & Boo Bunny die, and Dovecraft Floral Muse Birthday Sentiment Stamps.

This next one was made using Mr Smith's Workshop papers, Build a Tree stamp set, and Fun Owl Stickers:-

Finally, I made one using Geometric Kraft papers. I quite like the way this one bows - because I used papers instead of cardstock.

Here is another one that I made today:-

I used Simply Creative "Play Days" papers, and the new First Edition Fairground dies.
Here are all the pieces I used to make it:-

So, here are the instructions on how to make it:-

1) Take 4 pieces of 6x6" Cardstock (or papers that are between 150 - 200gsm).
2) Set one of the sheets aside. In the remaining three, you need to cut increasingly larger apertures - e.g. In the first sheet cut a large circle, in the second sheet, cut a smaller circle, and in the third sheet cut a slightly smaller circle again. (I used a large circle, and then a smaller hexagon, and then an even smaller hexagon).
3) Cut two pieces of card to 5"x 3 1/2", and score each of them every half inch along the short edge.
4) Crease back and forth to make an accordian fold.
5)Stick one of the accordian folds along the inside of the left side of the front piece:-

6) Now stick the other accordian folded piece of card on the other side of the front piece:-

7) Now stick the back panel onto the two accordian pieces - making sure the mountain fold folds around the back of the panel:-

8) Now slot the remaining 2 panels into place:-

9) From the front, my card looks like this:-

10) Now it's time to add all the embellishments to turn it into this:-

Hope you'll have a go!
